Col. Rick Gonder (USA Retired), PMP

Vice President, Public Sector

Rick is the GreenGen lead for all public sector business.  Rick also oversees and has responsibility for all aspects of project implementation. He leads a team of project and construction managers that carry out all of our client projects, using GreenGen’s processes and procedures. Rick also develops and manages project procedures and related forms and documents, and implements recommended procedural changes to establish, maintain, and improve solid processes to execute GreenGen's projects. Rick is a member of GreenGen’s Executive Committee.

Prior to joining GreenGen, Rick spent five years at Femme Comp Inc. (FCI), six years at Siemens, and over 25 years as an Army Signal Corps Officer. While at FCI, Rick directly supported numerous DOD agencies (OSD, DISA and Army) in Systems Engineering, Program Management, Program and Budget analysis and System Architecture.

At Siemens, Rick was responsible for capturing and program managing a major contract with the Army for base communication infrastructure modernization for bases around the world. Rick later assumed responsibilities for all Infrastructure Solutions delivery for Siemens Government Services, adding prime ESPC contracts with DOE and GSA, gate security, and maintenance services with the Army, as well as GSA Schedule sales and delivery.

Rick's Army career included numerous leadership positions providing communications and IT support to major Army, Joint and Combined (with Allied) headquarters in Germany, Korea, and Belgium. Rick's nominative staff assignments included the Defense Communications Agency, the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the National Reconnaissance Office, and the Army Staff. He deployed communications support to UN Peacekeeping operations in former Yugoslavia as well as Operation Support Hope – refugee relief operations in and around Rwanda.

Rick has a B.S. in Engineering from the U.S. Military Academy; an M.S. Electrical Engineering, AF Institute of Technology and an M.A. (eq) in National Security Strategy, US Army War College in Carlisle PA. He is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
