BETHESDA, MD – March 11, 2019 – Green Generation (GreenGen), a global provider of energy efficiency solutions, is partnering with nonprofit association Regional Manufacturing Institute (RMI) to improve the energy savings performance of manufacturing facilities throughout Maryland. GreenGen is executing the objectives of the Next Generation Energy Efficiency Gains for the Industrial Sector (NGEEG) Program, a state-funded program stemming from a grant agreement between RMI and the Maryland Energy Administration (MEA).
“Initiatives like RMI’s Energy Program can help generate enormous returns for manufacturers and give them a valuable competitive edge,” said Brad Dockser, chief executive officer of GreenGen. “There remains a knowledge gap, and we are raising awareness among local manufacturing leaders about the innovative solutions that are available to them. We aim to narrow and ultimately close that gap as part of our efforts to support the Maryland business community.”
RMI’s Energy Program is designed to help local manufacturers remain competitive in an increasingly globalized world, connecting manufacturers who spend a minimum of $80,000 on electricity with thousands of dollars of engineering services, at no cost to them, to help minimize their energy costs.
“We’re hopeful that the team at GreenGen will help us achieve our goals for significantly reducing energy with Maryland manufacturers in the program,” said Mike Galiazzo, President of RMI.
GreenGen is offering no-cost energy efficiency services to eligible manufacturers that sign up to benefit from RMI’s State-funded Energy Program that are located in the two major Maryland utility areas: Potomac Electric Power Company (PEPCO) and Delmarva Power. GreenGen will provide eligible manufacturers with a range of energy services to improve their energy efficiency and reduce their carbon footprint.
To date, nearly 100 Maryland manufacturing companies have received over $7.5 million in cost savings alone as part of RMI’s Energy Program.
